Rebecca King-CrewAmerican actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakout role was Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in the television series Magnum. (1980-1988) in which the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series with the winner being announced in 1985. In the series Blue Bloods, Selleck has starred as Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. In nine television movies that are based on the Robert B. Parker novels He played Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town chief of police, which began in 2005. Selleck also played the part of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). He has also been seen in more than 50 other films and TV roles from the time of Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter. He appeared on television in recurring roles as Monica Geller's love-interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and as Lance White, the likeable and charming co-star in The Rockford Files, and as the casino's owner A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. Cooper also played the lead part in the TV western film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran and is a spokesperson for National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
